FAQ:
- What experience level do I need to have to start guitar lessons? You could be a complete beginner who is looking to start playing your favorite songs, an intermediate player who wants to take your playing to the next level, or a seasoned musician who wants to learn more about playing other genres. I have tailored my curriculum so that we I can give you the best guidance based on where you're at! All ages and experience levels are welcome!
- What styles of guitar do you teach? I have had the pleasure to be able to work with many different ensembles that play a wide array of different music such as rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, metal, and many more. I am confident that I can provide you with a curriculum that is inline with your personal taste in music!
- How long are the lessons and how often should I schedule them? Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis. You can schedule either a 30 minute, 45 minute, 60 minute lesson.
- Do you offer online or in-person lessons, or both? Both! In-person lessons are only offered at the students home.
- What is your teaching approach or philosophy? Please feel free to read my teaching philosophy in the Private Lessons Tab!
- Can you tailor lessons to my specific goals and interests? Absolutely! People are often driven to learning an instrument because they are passionate about playing a certain genre of music, or they have a group of friends that want to start a band, whatever your goals are I can cater our lessons to fit your needs!
- What is your cancellation policy? In order to qualify for a makeup lesson, I require a 24 hour notice if you need to reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours before our scheduled lesson are not eligible for a makeup and will not be refunded.
- What materials do I need for lessons? The only materials required for lessons are your guitar, an amp (if you are taking lessons on electric guitar) a guitar pick, and a clip-on tuner. I will provide lesson materials to you via email after our lessons which I will have available during our lesson times!
- Can you provide any supplementary materials or resources? Absolutely! Within 24 hours after every lesson, I will send out a personalized lesson review with any materials that went over, and an outline of what to be practicing for the week. Students can also feel free to reach out to me outside of our lesson times if they have any questions regarding the practice material!
- How do you handle students who struggle with certain concepts or techniques? By breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, providing extra practice materials, and offering personalized guidance. Encouragement and positive reinforcement are key when fostering a supportive learning environment that empowers students to persevere and make progress at their own pace.
